The Islamic Cultural Center of Greater Chicago
Activities Rendered by the Center:

• Weekly Friday Khutba (Sermon) and Prayers at 1:00 P. M every Friday.
• Interfaith Dialogues: Mutually organized and planned with other Houses of Worship.
• Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul- Adha Celebrations: The first one is usually held after the end of Ramadan. Eid-Ul-Adha celebration is held few days after Hajj (Pilgrimage) period.
• Other Celebrations include celebration of the onset of the New Hijra Year, Mawled An-Nabbi/ The Birth Anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (SAAWS), Israa’ and Mi’raaj, Laylatu Al-Baraa’ (the evening of the middle of the month of Shabaan), Nightly Ramadan Taraweeh Prayers, Laylatu Al-Qadr (always on the evening of the 26th of the Month of Ramadan.
  • Two Weekend Islamic Schools on Saturdays and Sundays of every week from the middle of September till the second or third week of May.
  • Interfaith dialogues are an integral part of the Center’s functions.
  • Annual Monthly lectures on the first Sunday of the month, February through May (an additional Lecture is added quite often).
  • Lecture dinners organized twice a year organized by the Center’s Women Group.
  • Receiving students and adult groups visiting from different churches and synagogues.
  • Imam is always available to listen, help, and share any concerns of the Center’s MEMBERS, and to perform required Islamic tasks such Civil Islamic.
  • Marriage Rituals (Provided that a license has been obtained from the city of Chicago) Janaza Prayers in locations other than the ICCGC.
